Résumé
Scott Anderson
Machine learning engineer with an M.S. in Computer Science (AI and machine learning) and hands-on cloud infrastructure work on AWS and Azure. Five years in the U.S. Air Force building data and automation systems used across a 300-person organization, plus access control and incident response for sensitive systems. Active Secret clearance.

Experience · U.S. Air Force
Plans and Scheduling Technician, Cybersecurity Liaison and ISSO
Nov 2025 – Present
- Built a Power BI data pipeline and dashboard unifying 13 data sources, saving about 8,000 person-hours a year.
- Control access to sensitive systems by verifying every account request before access is granted.
- Handle cybersecurity incident response for the squadron.
- Brief shop leaders across the squadron once or twice a week.
Training Technician
Oct 2022 – Nov 2025
- Built Power Automate workflows that cut training no-shows by 97%; adopted by four other units.
- Kept security qualifications and training current for more than 300 people.
- Dark Saber generative AI feedback program: built prompts and workflows, tested tools on real tasks, reported to developers, and trained about 14 people across the squadron.
- Wrote an Air Force-wide AI integration proposal. Named squadron Airman of the Year, 2024.
Precision Guided Munitions Crew Chief
Dec 2021 – Oct 2022
- Maintained precision guided missiles and delivered munitions to the flightline under written procedure.
- Licensed on seven specialty vehicles, including heavy forklifts and weapons lift trucks.
Projects
Semiconductor wafer defect detection
2026
- Implemented a prototypical network from scratch in PyTorch: 97.6% accuracy on unseen wafer defect classes.
- Cut training time 60% while raising accuracy: 2,500 20-way episodes instead of 10,000 5-way ones.
- Built a Bayesian network on manufacturing sensor data and tuned it to cut balanced error from 44.1% to 33.5%.
Atlas Logistics multi-cloud rebuild
2026
- Rebuilt a hand-built AWS and Azure deployment in Terraform across five phases: network, compute and load balancing, encrypted RDS, CloudWatch alarms, and Azure monitoring and identity.
adok8: containerized transformer inference service
2026
- Served a Hugging Face DistilBERT model through a FastAPI REST API, containerized with Docker.
